The Deadbolt Myspace Party returns to Manchester and Liverpool

Deadbolt are bringing one of the most popular themes – the infamous Myspace Party. The events will take place in Manchester on 30th March at Zombie Shack and in Liverpool on 5th April at The Shipping Forecast.

As well as the usual Deadbolt bangers, DJs will be playing all of the best hits from the Myspace era including From First To Last, Atreyu, Hadouken, The Medic Droid, My Chemical Romance and other guilty pleasures.

Party goers at both events will have a chance to take part in party games to win prizes including Fireball Whisky and Download Festival tickets.

The biggest scene kings and queens of the night can win prizes for the most scene outfits on the night. On entry everyone will receive a name tag to display their cringe Myspace names for all to see. There will be exclusive Myspace Themed cocktails on the night named after the best songs of the golden era.

On the night of Manchester’s Myspace Party Panic! At The Disco will be playing at Manchester Arena. As Panic! At The Disco were one of THE major Myspace bands, anyone who shows their ticket on the door will get £2 entry and a free shot of Fireball on entry.

It’s been 8 years since Deadbolt’s first event on a cold Wednesday night in 2011. They’ll be celebrating the milestone at Night People on Friday March 1st with 2 rooms of party.

Guest DJ Matt Stocks will be joining the party in the Deadbolt Room. Having cut his teeth on Kerrang! Radio, Matt was also a face of the legendary and much-missed Scuzz. He’s also fresh from touring with the Fireball Fuelling The Fire Tour as well as the February 2019 Steel Panther tour! He’s known for his party levels, so expect the best.

For those who don’t know, Rock Kitchen was the best weekly rock night in the city from the early 2000s until it’s last night in 2013, and is held in high regard with the old timers in the scene. Deadbolt and Main Events team up for Touchdown

Deadbolt & Main Events - Enter Shikari & Superbowl 2019 - Turing Tap - Red Cardinal Music

Deadbolt and Main Events will be teaming up to host Touchdown at Turing Tap, Manchester, on February 3rd.

The event will be in two parts – an Enter Shikari Afterparty and a Super Bowl viewing party.

On the night of the event Enter Shikari will be playing at Manchester Academy. Anyone with a gig ticket will be able to get 15% off all drinks all night. Deadbolt will be playing a mix of pop punk, emo, rock, alternative, hip hop and guilty pleasures from 6pm for those looking for somewhere to party before and after the Enter Shikari gig.

On the same night the biggest NFL event of the year, the Super Bowl, will be taking place. NFL fans will be able to take part in an NFL quiz hosted by Main Events and watch the game live on several screens around the venue.

After an amazing start to 2019 with the huge NYE bash at Font, they asked Deadbolt to return with a mammoth 8 hour Don Broco Afterparty and Preparty on February 2nd.

On the night of the event, Victoria Warehouse have a gig full of Deadbolt favourites with Don Broco, Neck Deep and Issues. Deadbolt DJs will play a mix of pop punk, emo, rock and guilty pleasures from 5pm for anyone looking to pre drink before the gig and party afterward.

There will be Fireball giveaways during the night. Names will also be selected from the “Going” and “Interested” lists on the Facebook event to win additional goodies for the night.

On 31st December Font and Deadbolt are teaming up for a NYE party to end the year on a high.

Party goers can expect to hear pop punk, emo, pop, hip hop and guilty pleasures.

Running up to the big moment when the clock strikes 12, there will be happy hour prices. Countdown cocktails will be 2 for 1 between 11pm-12am. Choose from Amaretto Sour, Jelly Tot Sour, Talk Nerdy To Me, Long Island Iced Tea and Zombie.  Party goers will also be able to get a can of Berliner Pilsner or Hooch with a shot of tequila, sambuca, Jagermeister or Sours for just £5.

As 2019 draws in, there will be 100 free shots of Fireball given out from the bar and a balloon drop to help welcome in the new year.

After a crazy relaunch, Deadbolt have announced their first Liverpool event of 2019 – a Panic! At The Disco vs My Chemical Romance Special at Shipping Forecast on Friday 1st February.

Since “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” was released in 2005, Panic! At The Disco have kept a solid place in the hearts of the alternative world. From the award winning classic “We Write Sins Not Tragedies” to “High Hopes” released earlier this year, their songs always earn a huge scream from the Deadbolt crowd!


Since the beginning of Deadbolt there has never been a night where My Chemical Romance haven’t been played. From the original singles like “Vampires Will Never Hurt You” to the big hitters like “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and newer tracks from their minor comeback like “Blood”, all singles will be played throughout the night.

Deadbolt DJs will play all of the biggest hits and fan favourites from Panic! At The Disco and My Chemical Romance throughout the night in addition to the usual Deadbolt hits.

After a few years away from the city, Deadbolt is returning to Liverpool with a Fall Out Boy vs Paramore Special at Shipping Forecast on Friday 9th November.

Fall Out Boy have been a staple band of Deadbolt from the beginning and their songs never fail to get a loud singalong from the crowd. Party goers will hear everything from classic hits such as Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy and Dance Dance to the most recent singles such as Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) and The Last Of The Real Ones.

From Paramore’s earlier pop rock hits such as Misery Business and Crushcrushcrush to the newer poppier track such as Hard Times and Rose-Coloured Boy, Deadbolt’s crowd is always ready to bounce around and scream their lungs out to their singles.

Deadbolt celebrates 50 years of Night of The Living Dead

For Halloween 2018 Deadbolt is paying homage to classic horror franchise “Night of The Living Dead” on Wednesday 31 October at Zombie Shack. Deadbolt will be turning the venue into a (pun-intended) zombie shack, playing spooky guilty pleasures among the normal Deadbolt classics and bringing in latex SFX make up artist If Looks Could Kill.

Halloween party games such as apple bobbing, pin the brains on the zombie, terror twister, beer pong and Lucifer’s limbo will be running throughout the night. There will also be a pumpkin carving contest where the winners will be able to claim a £50 bar tab.

During the night there will be giveaways from Deadbolt’s sponsor Fireball Whisky, including tickets to the Manchester date of their Fuelling The Fire Tour featuring Flogging Molly, The Bronx, Face to Face and Lost in Stereo.

This Halloween Deadbolt is collaborating with Breakout Manchester and giving party goers a chance to win a session at their live escape rooms.

The first fifty people to arrive at Night of The Living Deadbolt will receive a free boilermaker (Fireball and Pabst Blue Ribbon).

Winners of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation Raffle

At the Alternative Freshers Fair at Font last week stall holders donated prizes for a raffle to raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

Following the horrific murder of Sophie Lancaster, her family wanted to ensure a lasting legacy to their beautiful, bright creative daughter and so The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established. The foundation provides educational group-works that challenge prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures.

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is doing a fantastic job of helping the alternative community to feel safer from prejudice and intolerance. Their aims and achievements resonate deeply with the stallholders and attendees of the fair. Overall, £48 was raised and donated to the foundation.
