Everyday Sidekicks’ Glass House premiers with Metal Hammer

Everyday Sidekicks Glass House Metal Hammer - Red Cardinal Music

Everyday Sidekicks Glass House lyric video is premiering with Metal Hammer. Glass House is also included on the free CD in the new issue of Metal Hammer magazine.

“I wrote the lyrics to this song about not having a choice in losing someone close to you. It’s a hard time for anyone and I really wanted to reflect on how I felt at the time and how I was coping with it,” vocalist Archie Hatfield tells Hammer.

“I try and avoid writing lyrics along this line as much as possible but they fitted so well with the song melody and rhythm that I couldn’t resist putting them on top. ‘I’m just here till you find your way back,’ is my favourite line. The visuals of the lyric video fit nicely with this song as the clouds and sky kick in at a very uplifting point in the chorus and really help give it that extra bit of impact.”

Everyday Sidekicks – The Hope Tour

Everyday Sidekicks Hope Tour - Red Cardinal Music
Everyday Sidekicks The Hope Tour heads out to France, Belgium and Austria in April in association with Anchor Agency!

The Hope Tour will go to:

April 4th – France, Dunkerque – Bobble Café
April 5th – France, Angers – T’es Rock Coco
April 6th– Belgium, Namur – Le Temple
April 7th – Switzerland, Zurich – Wallstreet Bar

Everyday Sidekicks’ EP, Hope, will be released on March 31st. Archie Hatfield, vocalist of the Bristolian quartet, said “Hope to us is a hugely important factor in life. You constantly have obstacles thrown at you that you need to overcome, times change and sometimes it’s not always good things that come your way. Without Hope for things to get better, life can get on top of you”.

Their first single, “Fracture”, has already been released and is about “the way image effects the music industry.”

Archie said: “A lot of bands careers can be made by image alone and we feel it’s a big insult to smaller bands that work hard and have good music, that haven’t been given a shot due to them not being marketable enough. We felt Fracture was a good lead single as it showcased our new style of music. It’s a lot more riff based than our previous releases and shows a lot more energy”.

DBVI: Deadbolt Sixth Birthday

DBVI Deadbolt sixth Birthday Manchester - Red Cardinal Music

Six years ago we started a midweek night called Deadbolt with the intention of being the night we always wanted to go to.

Combining interactive elements, bringing in special guests and caring about our audience were our key components. Later on we added live bands and huge giveaways to the mix. This lead to us moving to weekends and becoming the number 1 alternative party experience in the city.

As is tradition for Deadbolt, the birthday will be celebrated with live performances followed by a clubnight filled with guests, games and giveaways. If you’re looking for an alternative night out in Manchester on Saturday 11th March, Pub/Zoo is where you need to be!

The live gig portion of the birthday celebrations will see from performances from Our Hollow, Our Home, Everyday Sidekicks, Cove, Lost Atlanta, Cascade and Recovery. The gig is 14+ and tickets are £5 advance or £7 on the door. Tickets will include entry to the afterparty for those who are 18+.

Wait, that’s not all…

After their big show at Academy with Lower Than Atlantis and Young Guns, Roam will be throwing down huge tracks to assist your party needs until late!

The biggest alternative party in Ireland, Dublin’s Sabotage, are making their Deadbolt return! Last time they came, they had the roof fully raised and for our birthday they promise to take it to the next level! Expect Irish stagedives.

Our buddies at Emo Disco have captivated several cities in the UK with their mix of nostalgia and tearjerking bangers. They’re coming to our birthday party to bring the feels and dancefloor anthems all at once.

What sort of a birthday party would it be without free cake and party games? Take part in Giant Jenga, Birthday Pong and Flip Cup amongst other Deadbolt favourites to win Southern Comfort goodies, a year’s free entry to Deadbolt clubnights and other surprises.

Tickets for this both parts of the event are available via Skiddle, Fatsoma and our website. To find out more and keep up with further announcements, head to the Facebook event. Click “Going” to win free drinks and entry.
